Margaret is popular in their company that all will bow down and has a high respect on her. Everyone, especially Andrew, puts up with her annoying attitude because they fear that they might be fired by her. Her personality is due to the absence of her family. She has devoted her life to her work, since she lost her father and mother and has forgotten how it is to be cared for. Andrew, on the other hand, has a very wonderful family. Although he is not in good terms with his father, he still has a mom and a grandmother ready to support his whims and desires.
Unfortunately, Margaret Tate is notified by the government that she has an expired visa, and that she is to be sending back to Canada. Consequently, for Andrew not to be fired in his job, Margaret and Andrew agreed to get married. All would believe that for Andrew it will be okay to lose his job. Not knowing, Andrew has plans and dreams to be on high. He wants to publish the book he made and to become the boss.
Consul did something to prove if their marriage is not just like game because everybody believed the marriage is not true. Their love-hate relationship is full of humor. However, both did a great part on acting that they don’t want one another. Andrew brought Margaret to the place where Andrew’s family dwells, to tell and make believe to the consul that their love is true. At the end of the day, both discovered different sides of their personality and ended loving rather than hating each other that resulted in a genuine matrimony.
We have often believed that romances that full of humor, especially the proposal are very predictable. At first, the main characters would hate each other, and then in just a blink of an eye, the next thing you know, they already adore each other’s company. Many doubted and asked that “what will be the outcome in instances that Andrew don’t want his work but still pursuing it for many years, why would he, suddenly, have given her heart to someone like Margaret? For a long time of not wanting and hated Margaret, no one will believe that Andrew did it that way on her.
On a lighter note, we believed that the movie shows quite entertaining comedy bits like when Margaret had an encounter with their dog snatched by a falcon and was brought up in the air, or when Andrew and Margaret accidentally bumps into each other naked, and also, another scene involving an old woman doing strange dancing rituals in the forest-like place. More than that, the movie can be more appreciated because it shows great morals like being truthful and selfless. It also shows that no matter how different people are from each other, they might still end up together, as many would say, opposites attract, and all there is to do is genuinely accept each other.
Even though the story is somewhat stupid and predictable, the movie still catches the viewers and everybody did enjoy a lot. We may not highly recommend it; still we could say if you or if the person you were with, didn’t enjoy those corniest romantic comedy movies, no regrets watch this movie. Maybe you will enjoy this for a moment, but you will cherish the time that you watched this movie. It will really entertain you a lot.
